A thrift shop can also be called a charity store or an opportunity store. A thrift shop is a retail establishment run by a charitable organization to raise money. Charity shops are a type of social enterprise. They sell mainly used goods such as clothing, books, music albums, DVDs, and furniture donated by members of the public, and are often staffed by volunteers.

Sometimes it’s unbelievable that one can find nice piece of clothing in a thrift shop. I also didn’t believe it at first until I saw it myself.
